Terms of use

What you agree to by training here.

Last updated 7 Sept 2026

Who we are

We run an online kung fu curriculum. Video lessons are grouped into paths; you work through them, and at certain points you record yourself and a qualified teacher tells you how it was.

By creating an account you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, do not create one.

You must be 18 or over

We ask for your date of birth at signup and refuse accounts for anyone under 18. This is not a judgement about young martial artists — it is that supporting minors properly means parental consent and a different duty of care, and we would rather not do it than do it badly.

If we find out an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.

Training is physical, and the risk is yours

Read this part properly.

Kung fu is physical exercise. It can hurt you. Stretching, stances, conditioning and forms all carry a risk of injury, and following a video without a teacher in the room carries more risk than training in person.

  • Get medical advice before you start if you have any injury, condition

or doubt at all. We are not qualified to give it and we will not.

  • Work at your own level. Nothing on the platform is a dare.
  • Stop if something hurts in a way that is not ordinary effort.

You train at your own risk. We are not liable for injury you suffer while following the curriculum, except where the law does not allow us to exclude that — and it does not allow anyone to exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by their own negligence, or for fraud.

Feedback on your form is teaching, not medical or physiotherapeutic advice, and should not be treated as either.

Your account

  • Accounts are created with an access code and approved by hand. We can

refuse one without giving a reason.

  • Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has

it.

  • One account per person. Do not share it.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.

What you post

You keep ownership of everything you upload: your videos, your posts, your photo.

You give us permission to store it and to show it where you have asked us to — a submission to the teacher who grades it, a post to the board you posted it on, your profile to whoever you made it visible to. That permission lasts as long as you keep the content on the platform.

If you tick the exemplar box on a submission, you are letting us show that clip to other students as an example. You can withdraw that at any time and we will stop.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload, and do not upload other people without their agreement.

Behaving on the boards and in messages

Short version: be kind, and remember everyone here started at zero.

We will remove content and restrict or close accounts for harassment, hate, spam, sexual content, threats, impersonation, or trying to break the platform. We do not owe you a warning first, though we will usually give one.

Our curriculum

The lessons, videos, drills and written material are ours or our teachers'. You may use them to train. You may not copy, republish, re-upload or sell them, or use them to teach commercially, without written permission.

Tiers, grading and fair use

Different tiers include different amounts of teacher grading. Where a tier is described as unlimited, that means fair personal use — not an unbounded claim on one person's time.

Teacher grading depends on a real human being available to do it. We cap how much we take on so that the feedback stays worth having, which means we sometimes close signups to a tier.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time from your settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop running the service. If we close the service, we will give you notice and a way to get your data out.

Changes

We will update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page is the version. If we make a change that matters, we will tell you and ask you to accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep any rights your local law gives you that cannot be signed away.
